The rules are the rules.

You can argue and debate and raise as big of a fuss as you want, but they're still rules. Alot of people seem to think that the rules are optional and that they can challenge them. You can't. You're just making it ugly on yourself and on the site. If you can't follow the rules, then expect to have to deal with the consequences.

Alot of our ops are afraid to do anything anymore because of the backlash people are CONSTANTLY giving them. It may not be the most popular decision the op has to make, but the rules have to be enforced at some point. I know people are here to have fun and do their thing, but it seems like more and more we're forgetting that it's not just one group of friends' room or site. You have to take EVERYONE into consideration. And alot of times ops have to play devil's advocate for that very reason. They don’t get paid for their work, and half of their fun gets ruined because of bickering. I’m sure the op managers would like to be able to enjoy their time on meetcam as well as you.

I know alot of us(myself included) have very strong personalities and are extremely opinionated. That's great for the most part. But when it comes to disagreements or confronations it keeps getting uglier and uglier. We ALL need to remember to respect each other AND respect the site rules for what they are. If you do not like what music someone is playing and would like to play your own music, by all means make your OWN room. We get in arguments over who is playing what & where more than we should. I think people are getting a little overzealous with the music not realizing it because they’re just pumped up and ready to crank out some jamming tunes. We have to keep this in perspective. There are some pretty simple steps to follow and you’ll pretty much avoid any conflict:
1. Ask the room owner BEFORE you start playing tunes if you can play. Given who the room owner is and the situation he/she may or may not appreciate you locking down the mic so please make sure you tell him/her exactly what you plan on doing.
2. If you are going to lock down the mic for however long, rather than taking over someone else’s room, make your own room and avoid the problem altogether. If you are not a pro-member, ask an op or blue person to make a room for you.
Yes, I know this sucks if everyone is already having fun in the room they’re in and don’t want to join you. Maybe you should take this as a hint to leave well enough alone. Otherwise, give it a few and sooner or later if you’re playing great music, they’ll join you!

Let me recap the site rules for ya'll since nobody seems to know what they are:



Please read the rules before entering the rooms. Ask any ops for help
1. Don't show children on cam. Even in the background. This is grounds for a site ban.
2. Dont play music or get naked in the Lobby. The Lobby is there to welcome and help new users. Dont frighten them. Choose a room to play in.
3. Spamming other chat sites is strictly prohibited. This will get you banned from the site.
4. Don't be rude or unpleasant to fellow chatters, even if you disagree with them. Have an op help mediate, or deal with it yourself in pms. Or put the other person on ignore.
5. Even if users often get naked and play on cam, requesting/directing/begging is extremly rude, and will get you removed from the site, or punished short term.
6. Please do not flood the room (pasting the same info repeatedly in chat), or type in all capital letters, these are extremely annoying!
7. Please ask users before sending private messages. Often they are unwelcomed and will give a bad first impression.

Friends or not, rule #1 is the very most important rule because the minute someone under the age of 18 is on cam you put the site at risk of a liability and serious legal implications. It says right there it is a BANNABLE offense. That is not ANY of the ops faults that YOU broke the rules. You seem to think that the rules are up for debate. But getting beligerent with the ops over breaking one rule just leads to breaking rule #4. Do you get what I'm saying here? It's not that I don't like you, cuz I think you're fun as hell, but there's a right and wrong way to go about things. I am 95% sure I was there when you got banned for the kid being on cam, and you were banned because you were warned several times and you wanted to argue about it. Even though it says right there and you click yes to it, that you can't bring your kids on cam. If you break the rules just suck it up man. Admit you broke them, do whatever punishment it is, and then come back. You'll find that the less you argue about breaking the rules, the less of a punishment you'll receive.

either there was a incident involving chrissmith playing music in a room with others objecting to his mic lock that was the catalyist that lead to chrissmiths 3 month ban or there was in fact no such incident that really ever took place?

i dont know for certain for the mere fact that i was not there at the correct TIME,

if indeed this incident did take place then topjock has correctly determined that the 3 month ban did not take place JUST because of the mic lock, (i would certainly hope the fock not, lol)

the complete reason for the three month ban would involve every single past time chrissmith interaction within meetcam prior to the date of the ban,

just because the music mic lock was the catalist that brought about the situation that created the 3 month ban does not mean one fockin bit that the ban was given JUST for the mic lock,

to think otherwise would just be assine, would it not?

speaking from personal expierence from being banned from many of the finest sites the internet has to offer i think i may possibly be aware of the superceding reason why it was that chrissmith was indeed banned from meetcam,

if i have guessed correctly that superceding reason should be very simplistic,

Hey chris this would be quicker noticed in webcam chat forum but im onto it now - Your nick is not banned on the server, and neither is your ip. This has happened before and though I dont know why it's been found that clearing out your temp internet files & cookies usually sorts it out. Give that a try and if still no luck send me a message through message system and will try to help from there. Don't forget to reboot after you cleared the cache files and hopefully you'll be bk in a jiffy.
