If you collect fonts like I do.. Thousands of them this is great..
Also on the home page of ampt soft there are alot more programs free that also come in handy...

If you install the FFDShow codec from here http://www.free-codecs.com/FFDShow_download.htm then you should be able to play DVD`s AVI`s etc from media player or any other video player software that use.
Its compatable with Meetcam as well, I`ve been using it for ages. :)
01-08-2007, 10:14 PM

http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/3d_Tra ... route.html (http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/3d_Traceroute/3dtraceroute.html)
This is a no - install application, just save to your Desktop and run.
Q. What does it do?
A. It times the hops that are required to get from your computer across the internet to Meetcam.
Q. How is this useful to me?
A. If you are having connection problems with meetcam, then this will show if its taking too long for meetcam to communicate with your PC.
Select the "as List" to see the actual times instead of the 3d view.
you can export the data, or right click in any of the rows and select copy as text, which you can then paste into notepad or anytext editor.
To reduce the number of columns, right click again and select columns visablity, and uncheck the ones you don`t need to see.

03-07-2007, 01:55 AM
Thanks 4 the free list, not all stuff that is free works correctley so be causious! it may do better buying some things as i have discovered. most freebies come with a hidden reminder to buy or some other intrusive stuff so be weary but thanks !
03-07-2007, 02:30 AM
Do you mean shareware Ernie?
Shareware is "try before you buy" software and not freeware.
Shareware is either time limited, limited functionality or has nags or popups that remind you to buy the software.
Registerware is like freeware, but you have to register the software, by giving the author your email address, this is just so the author can keep track of who is using the software and also maybe to inform users of any upgrades.
Read software webpages carefully, any that have "free trial", "free to download" or "demo version" are not freeware.
Some software have both totally free and pay versions like Zone alarm, while the free version is totally free and fully functional with no nags or popups, the pay version has extras added to it.
As far as I know all the software listed here is totally free.

Upgrading to AVG version 8 it crashed and burned and it was becoming nag-ware anyway, so I`m now using Avast! which is also free.
If you are using the ZoneAlarm Firewall software, you have to exclude this file ?:\System Volume Information\tracking.log or Avast will stall on anything but a quick scan.
06-04-2008, 01:43 AM
Upgraded to AVG 8 today on a fresh install, of Vista 32bit, Zero problems, not sure about nagware, but It has run problem free for 12 hours, and I've being doing a lot of downloading trying to get this PC back to its user friendly state
