Usually this means you are not using the Internet Explorer web browser which is required to enter the chat rooms

Please use the latest version of the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser.

Please read below for more help. If all else fails, please look in the MeetCam Forum for technical help or post a question. Your question has probably already been posted and answered many times. :-)

Unfortunately, our chat rooms use ActiveX and Java which are technologies only supported by the Internet Explorer web browser.

In some cases it is possible to enter the chat rooms in other web browsers by downloading add-ons for them. Here are some suggestions:

Mozilla Firefox: Download and install Coral IE Tab.
Google Chrome: Download and install IE Tab.

Also, many of our members recommend using the Maxthon web browser as it seems to work well with the chat rooms without any additional add-ons.

The first time you visit the chat rooms, you will be asked to install an ActiveX control, which is a small program that works with Internet Explorer to make the chat rooms work on your computer. It is completely safe.

(In rare cases, you may need to click Tools -> Internet Options -> Security ... and Uncheck the box that says Enable Protected Model)

You need to be signed out of the chat before clicking on settings to be able to edit them. So click on Settings it before entering a chat server.

Please maximize the window or increase your screen resolution to at least 1024x768.

1) Make sure that you have all of the correct drivers installed with your webcam.

2) When you first enter the chat server, but before you log in, click Settings at the top and choose the proper webcam source.

3) Make sure your webcam is not being used by another application.
