I think if you google parallel with Mac or find a way to install ie on the Mac too. The chatrooms only work with ie or ie addons for browsers. That is what I suggest. I heard rumors about the site owners upgrading so the chatrooms can use Mac but not sure when that might happen.

As far as I know , you cannot install internet exploder on an operating system other than , Windows. You can use programs like virtual machine though or , Wine maybe. You would still need some kind of copy of windows. To the best of my knowledge.

Until or unless the site gets away from using ActiveX, you're options are:
    1. Buy a copy of Windows and install it using Bootcamp.
    2. Buy a copy of VMware and Windows, which will let you run both the Mac OS and Windows simultaneously.
    3. Buy a copy of Parallels Desktop and Windows which is similar to VMware, but in my opinion is a better product.

If you use Bootcamp, Windows will run like a champ, but every time you need to run a Mac app, you'll have to reboot.

I'm writing this on a MacBook Pro which has limited access to Meetcam, i.e. forums. I have Parallels Desktop, so if I wish I can boot Windows, run IE and have full access, but it's a pain in the ass. If you give Windows a large chunk of memory, Mac apps slow down drastically (including Windows, since it's just an app). If you don't give Windows a large enough amount of memory, Windows slows down. When I boot Windows, I close almost all Mac apps, and keep from running any Mac apps until I'm finished with Windows, at which time I suspend Windows and exit Parallels Desktop.

It is handy to be able to occasionally run windows apps, and they can both be ran simultaneously, but I only run Parallels/Windows when I really need to.

Also, if you haven't already, you should max out the amount of physical memory. I have 4MB, and allocate 2 to Windows. That seems to be the best combination for what I do.

    Right on

Excellent summary, USN, and I agree. I also use Parallels on a Macbook and I also believe it's the best way to go. But just because you start a virtual machine, don't be misled into thinking you have a second computer. It don't work that way.

The use of the English language in this thread, it is uphauling. However, that was a rather impressive MAC write up USN. This "can I on a Mac" question is asked frequently and your post will be a solid reference point. +40 MC bucks to you Good Sir.
